In earlier phases of acute skin side effects, the skin within the treatment field will be itchy. Pets can cause significant damage to the area through self-trauma (licking, biting, rubbing). Preventing them to having access to the radiation site if skin effects start to occur can help the heal far more quickly.</image:caption>
